Inner primary case dowel pins
When were these fitted again? I understand that the 06 models did not have dowel pins fitted betwenn the IP case and and the tranny case. I also understand that they have been refitted to the 08 models.

This appears to be imlicated in some way \\;with the early \\;IPB failures. My 07 Dyna service manual clearly \\;shows two dowel pins between the cases. Never had my 07 FXDB apart yet - so when were the dowel pins refitted: 08 only, 07 as well, or part way through the 07 run?

Advice appreciated form thjose who have been into the primaries on the 07 bikes. Dowel pins would appear to assure proper alignment and reduced risk of IPB failure.....

I can't believe that no 07 owners on the Forum have been into the primary case yet!
Dowels between the inner case and tranny or no dowels?
If I were a wealthy man I'd offer a financial incentive. However, I'm not and you'll have to settle for the warm glow in knowing that you've put, at least my and Oilslick's mind at ease!
