OK, I'm at a safety course put on today and we did a round of excercises and went in to rest the bikes a little. Clutch was working perfectly.
Come back out 15 minutes later and the clutch is like - wont engage all the way. Slipping like crazy and the slack in the cable that was there, isnt there anymore.
So I break out the tools and adjust the cable. It was locked tight. I brak the jam nut and adjust it till it';s right.
so you're sayin you overheated your clutch and damaged it...
Nope.
No way I overheated it in the few minutes I used it.
We have done these excercises for much longer periods of time and had no effect like this.
My clutch got out of adjustment.
After I adjusted it, it was fine to continue and I went through all the other excecises and rode on a 100 mile run after that.
Sumbody musta been playin around out thar whilst you wuz a breakin or you forgot to prefamulate the amulate before starting the bike back up. Honestly, I have no clue. I haven't had that particular problem, although I have had similarly strange things happen. I wonder if there was a kink or maybe it needed a good oilin.
