Your inner primary bearing is going out. HD will fix this on there dime. Are you hearing any kind of noise yet when the clutch is released at a stop? In 06 they had many problems with this bearing and issued a TSB about it and HD will pick up the tab to repair it outside of the warranty.

You will always find metal shavings on the magnet on the primary drain. Most of the time it is normal due to wear on the metal clutch disks.

The inner primary bearing will tell you when it needs to be replaced.

Rang the dealer [am in uk] about the issue in preparation for ipb going but he says going by my chassis number there are no outstanding issues with my bike, have had no unusual noises coming from the primary as yet thankfully.
