I keep meaning to give the Clints a try. I guess its time.
I traveled the Caribbean this past fall and bought some Cuban Romeo & Julieta 2007 Aniversario's and that was a good smoke. The guy offered to repackage them and ship them to me as Jamacian hand rolled. $230 a box plus shipping. Not bad considering how pricey they are.
I've been smoking 5 to 7 cigars a day (big ones) for about 18 years. I buy all mine from JR cigars and have for years. I smoke cigars behind my wind shield when I ride. What can I say, I got it bad. I'm gonna have to give these Clints a try. Thanks for the tip.

Sorry. RyJ Aniversarios were never or will ever be released. The only RyJ 2007 release was the Escudos. It is a limited Edition series, 50 ring gauge X 5.6". They retail for $420 for a dress box of 25. They are fake. All Habanos should be shipped intact with bands on. Reputable dealers will open the box to insure quality. All boxes will have a seal and habaonos sticker and box date and code stamped on back. Habanos with Hecho a Mano will be branded on the back. There should also be a garuantee card inside that will curl up in your hand due to your body heat. If any of this is missing they are counterfit. Granted I have seen boxes with botched box codes and occasionally things spelled wrong but this is rare.
My advice would be to only use Habanos S.A. appointed dealers when travelling any where. The La Casa Del Habano stores are the safest place to purchase. When buying online only use
dealers with references and never purchase any Habanos from Costa Rica they are all fake. Australia , Germany , Spain and Switzerland are good choices.
Here is a link to http://www.habanos.com/default.aspx?lang=en. This should provide you with a wealth of info. Good Luck.
Thanks for the head up. You can tell by my avatar that I like the occasional stogie. That pic was taken by me in one of my favorite bars in Galveston and there is a cigar shop right next door!!
I'm a cigar nut as well, bad part, I have found an attraction to the expensive stoogies. I've been smoking the Padron 1964 & 1929series..and man are they good. The other one I like to carry on the scoot is the Fuente Short Story, it's a 15-20 minute smoke good for a short stop and a damn good smoke if I don't say.
Some of the other favorites
San Cristobol
Opus X
Agreed- the Short Story is a fantastic 20-minute smoke. So are the short Montecristos.
Haven't tried the Clints- maybe I'll give them a shot. My "on the bike" smoke is a Hav-A-Tampa Sweet Jewel because of the wood tip. (Doesn't come apart in the wind.) At home my favorites are Montecristo #1, H. Upmann's cedar-wrapped Cameroon, anything from Torano or Fuente including, of course, the Opus X...
