Fellas,
Just got a skid lid, great helemet but i don;t like the mushroom head /kazoo look ? what about them shoertys they look like nice low profile helmets and they are DOT ,

I also tried on a Daytona, but I bought a new DOT half-helmet made by HCI for $69. It's the smallest, best looking DOT helmet I've ever tried on. I got a gloss black with a matte flame pattern.

I agree with tech2, I just bought a HCI 100 shorty and I like it alot. I have tried the skid lid and it has a mushroom look and so does the ACC, it is larger than the HCI as well. The HCI was only 49 bucks and it is dot.

Rotorhead - which helmet? [sm=smiley25.gif] where/how did you order? I don't see a 100 for 49 bucks on the site http://www.helmetcityinternational.com
I was going to order a Skid Lid traditional.

Just wanted to add that the Daytona worked for me. Police report stated that I went 20 feet in the air and left a 25 foot skid mark in the road from my helmet. May be a bit bigger then some - but I know it will work if I need it!

One of my bros has a carbonfiber and it's sweet - but I can see me dropping it in a parkinglot or something.
Let you all know if I stay with the HCI or move to the carbonfiber.
