Back from the dragon
Just got back from the dragon. Been 9 years since IDE last rode it. We ( my middle son and I) go to Gatlinburg at least once a year but haven't made it to te dragon since he started riding- he always has to get back to work too soon. This time is was me - my 25 yr old that rides a 13 rode glide and his fried that rides a 14 street glide. We took 5 days this time and rode! Stopped in Nashville downtown Thursday night. Downtown Nashville is Awsome. Rode to Gatlinburg Friday and hung out the rest of the day. Rode the parkway and headed to the dragon Saturday. Met my oldest son who races wera. He and some of his friends trailered there sport bikes there an rode Friday and Saturday. We rode the dragon a couple times and headed to sons motel in maryville. Sunday rode down to Chattanooga and hung out for awhile during a storm then back to Nashville downtown. Left Monday morning for home. 1300 miles. Awsome time ! Going back early November to ride my wife through Cade's cove. Beautiful scenery this time of year.
I hope while you were there you took the time to ride some of the other awesome roads in the area of the dragon. Honestly, the dragon, in comparison to most of the area, is not much to write home about.
It sounds like you had a great time...I'd love to ride with my kids but they haven't gotten the bug yet.
