If you search my screen name I have posted up a number of trips covering most of the US. We still have plenty to see, but they would be a good start. I usually post up maps but feel free to hit me up for routes. I recommend getting a Garmin so you can load gpx. files.

 

Congrats on your service and retirement. When your cursing the Northeast take the ferry from Portsmouth, Maine over to Nova Scotia. Ride the Cabot trail you will love the ride and the people. Did it this past summer from Florida the weather was great.

With my well pump going bad and having to replace everything except the hole and my hot water heater leaking and having to replace it I have ben pretty busy. Put tires on my sons jeep and my car, when did tires get so expensive? Over $1000 for jeep tires... I am still trying to catch up around the house and at work from being over seas. But I am getting on top of everything. I have been watching the posts so Have some great ideas. Like this:

Here are the maps thru NM. I had to stop tour planning because I have to be in Yellowstone NP on July 10. I can get what I miss on the return trip. Anything missing that is good to see or do let me know...

Here is where I have a big question. How smart is it to go thru Death Valley in July? I can leave Vegas early, 5AM to 6AM and make it thru DV by 9AM but How hot is it. I just left 120 degree heat with 80 percent humidity and it was bad but lots of water and it was bearable. I'm more worried about the MC 2013 Ultra CVO. Anybody who has had any experience with DV ion July chime in. It can't be too much hotter than running thru the dessert around DV, maybe 20 degrees?
