roaming charges

If you have a US cellular plan and travel into Canada, do you then incur immediate roaming charges? Should you turn the cell off and then connect via wi fi when available?

You do with Verizon. You can buy a special deal for the time you're going to be there. well worth it.

Goes for either side of the border,buy a roaming package for $20 or $40 before you leave or just don't turn it on on the other side.

Yep. I would think Verizon you will pay...they are crooks! LOL

Check with your provider to know for sure. There is a thousand different plans, and you don't want advice on someone else's plan.
