"The Blues"
Then we went to Ground Zero Blues Club. Morgan Freeman is a co-owner of Ground Zero. It is also located in an old cotton gin. As it was cold out, so we took them up on a limo service they have available. You give them a call and they come pick you up and drop you off at the club. We listened to the band, had supper and some beers.
A little later we walked about a block to Reds Juke Joint. Big A and the All Stars were playing. They put on quite a show, it was outstanding.
We had a great time and cant wait to go back.
For those who have never been, they are 200 foot apart across a dirt lot. Also Grandslams photo of the highway 61/49 w/ blue guitar can be had as a pin at the museum. And the club has both a poster and a sticker of the neon Blues Club sign. One of which is on my basement wall over my own pool table.
I really love riding the Natchez Trace and visiting Clarksdale, ah, but not in summer.
