A group of four will be breaking up a week long trip. First leg has us staying in Davis WV for a few days then headed to Wintergreen VA for the last 3 days. We will be exploring the area around each home base. I know the blue ridge hwy is in there. If anyone knows the area and can recommend a road, a brewery or a special attraction to see please speak up.
We initially had Wintergreen booked as there was a beer festival at Devil's Backbone Brewery but the advertisement/ web site had the wrong date when we set up four lives/vacations so that is a bust as it is actually a week before we arrive.
I have always been amazed with specific knowledge the locals have when I have asked in the past.

From Davis, take US 33 south. Go past Seneca Rocks and continue south and east to Harrisonburg, VA, East of Harrisonburg you can take either US 340 or Skyline Drive south to Waynesboro where you can pick up I-64 east until the exit for Wintergreen. US 33 between Davis and Harrisonburg has lots of elevation changes and turns.
