Wind therapy.
Low 40's, party cloudy and no winds yesterday, so I headed out for ride. Pics are here.
It was good ride. I only saw like 4 other riders, and when I saw them I was in a town. I didn't pass anyone on the backroads. I'm thinking my new limit is 40 degrees. I must be getting old.

Hopefully you'll see a few more good days weather wise. We lucked out and saw a high of 82 yesterday. If course at 3500 feet on the Blue Ridge Parkway it was in the mid 60's and we were flirting with rain every direction we turned. But in the lower elevations the bikes were like flies at a picnic.
Ride safe

I rode Saturday. High was 43*. Had get the bikes full of gas ahead of the snow we got today. Got in about 115 miles. Had a heated jacket liner but my new heated grips wouldn,t work. They treated the roads so if we don't get some good rain. I,m done till spring. It's been a poor year for riding. I hope next year is better.

Friday and Saturday are showing potential.
Superstition Mountains
Was darn cold today!! Only about 65° & it was freezing going through shade in the canyons. Just got laid off on Friday so I'll have some free time for our riding weather.
Friday Rideday took me to Peoria, along the Illinois River, on Rt 26. The fall colors were awesome.
I didn't stop for photos yesterday, and was only gone for about 4 1/2 hours. I had a long night at work Thursday, so getting up Friday wasn't easy.
Halloween brought with it sunshine and warmer weather. Friday was lucky to hit 50, but Saturday managed 60. The only down side was the strong winds, 20-30 miles per hour.
I had to do another color check along the Rock River, at Blackhawk. The colors have faded and many of the leaves have fallen.
A little pano shot.
Such a nice fall day.
The Byron Nuclear plant looms in the background. It's said to be shutting down next year.
Stopped in Polo for a snack and a soda.
If the winds would have been less, and trick or treaters not expected at the house, I probably would have stayed out and hit a few more miles.
I've put 3,964 miles on the Night Rod this year. I think that's the most miles I've put on it in any one year, thus far.
Tomorrow is only supposed to hit 38, so there will be no riding for me. Next weekend is said to be in the mid 60's and sunny, so there's a real good chance the Ultra and I will hit the road for more miles.
They are teasing me with more 60 degree days in our forecast. Friday and Saturday are said to be sunny and in the 60's......guess who doesn't work either of those days?
Great pictures, great thread. It's interesting to see the difference in riding seasons as I'm in east TN. We can ride pretty much year round, as long as the rain holds off. I lived in central IL as a kid and remember a couple of winters where the snow at Thanksgiving was still on the ground at the end of March.
