Today was a great Friday Rideday. I rode along the Wisconsin River and the Mississippi River. Lots of back roads. Hwy 56 from Genoa Wisconsin is an awesome ride, with great scenery. My last two hours of riding was in the dark of night. No deer, so no worries. I really like riding at night, so call me crazy. I only saw one live deer all day. Many, many dead ones though. I also saw the aftermath of a really bad accident. Shortly after that I saw a tanker truck with the 3 rear tandem axles burnt up. No tires remaining, and the blacktop beneath them melted. I don't know how I'm going to survive the winter without Friday Rideday's.

The Ultra rolled past 94,000 miles today. 1,100 more and I'll have 20,000 miles on it for the season. My Night Road is at like 3,900 for the season. It's been a light ride year for me.....seriously it has....lol.

Tomorrow is supposed to be another good weather day!!

88° & cloudy yesterday. Everyone said you'd look forward to cloudy days when I first moved here from PA & I thought they were nuts!? Every day is cloudy in Pennsylvania?!!!

Took my "Dad's" Night Rod out for a ride today, in honor of my Dad's birthday, he's 76 today.

Glamour shot.

13 years later, 20,000 miles. I've had the bike for 3 seasons and have put just about 11,000 miles on it. This year I have put 4,232 miles on it. I really like this bike.

My nutritional lunch.

**** stop.

Color check.....they be gone.

I left home at 10am, and got home at about 4:30pm, as the sun was setting.

Here's a pic of my Dad, back in 2011, which was the last time we rode together.

The two of us....lol.

We headed out for a ride at noon. I had a headache when I woke up, so the ride was a bit delayed. Heading out in tank tops, in November, was a pleasant surprise.

We wandered over to Savanna IL. We didn't take a direct route.

A pano shot of the Mighty Mississippi.

Before heading south to Clinton Iowa, we put on shirts and jackets, as we figured it'd start cooling off, it barely did.

A few miles south of Savanna we stopped for a snack and a soda, as the wife was a bit hungry.

40 more miles and I would have had a 1000 mile weekend. I blame the headache for missing the mark. But 960 miles, in November, is northing to complain about.

This has been a weekend without any wind therapy, and it sucked. I'm not ready for long periods of darkness, reduced freedoms, and no Harley time. It's going to be a long winter. I hope to get in a few more ride days, here and there, but at this point, I'm at the mercy of the weather gods and salt trucks.

85 and sunny yesterday here in Florida. High of 72 today and sunny. Then again, we have flat roads. I'm still looking for that perfect place, year-round riding and hilly, curvy roads.
