I got in a ride each of the last 3 days, for a total of 530 miles. The Ultra hit 20,073 miles for the season. Add the 4,232 Night Rod miles and I've put on 24,305 Harley miles during the year of COVID.....lots of social distancing was done.
Headed out for a birthday ride today. I figured as long as it hit 40 degrees riding would be better than working. It was barely 40 and didn't stay above 40 the entire time.
Well, I put some Stabil in the tank of the Ultra today, so it's now napping with the V-Rod. Salt has been thrown down on the roads and there are no days out of the 30's in the forecast. I'd just prefer it go ahead and snow, if I can't ride the bikes.
This season's mileage total is 24,660 miles, between the two bikes. 20,428 on the Ultra and 4,232 on the V-Rod.
I still need to give both bikes a bit of cleaning, before covering them up, but I'll have to warm up the garage to do that, and I don't currently have a heater in there....Santa?
Hopefully it'll only be about 2 months, before I can get back out on the road. If we get a freak summer day, and the roads aren't white from salt, I'll definitely take advantage of that, but I have zero desire to get the Ultra out on salty roads, again. I did that last year and regretted it.
I'll be spending time with my cameras and my Jeeps until spring arrives, so I guess all isn't loss.
Ski season starts for me pretty soon The mountain opened up on Friday, but at my age I like sunshine, and not cloudy days Just like motorcycling LOL I rode about 10,000 miles this year, but ran out of roads by early September so I havent been on the bike very much since ... decided to put the PanAm On indefinite hold, and Robin and I are talking about putting a Stage ll into the eGlide That will be my winter motorcycle fun Its been an odd year at work with Covid
Weve never been busier, but with whats going on around us, we could be shut down again for a couple of months until the needle rolls out Who knows, were just playing it day by day for now... I am going to Slow the company down for the two weeks across Christmas By the time we get back to work we should have a good idea whats going on with the numbers... so far, due to the isolation that is this part of British Columbia We stayed away from the bad infection rate as seen in other parts of the country Hopefully that holds out for across the winter... my task is to run a good balance between the health of the staff, their families, my family, the students families And my bank account Its not an easy balance to keep.
I'm really having issues with not getting any wind therapy. On the bright side of things, there's only 4 days left until the days start getting longer.
Yea its been 30s in the AM & I need to ride 27 miles each way thru Phoenix. Did it one day at 43° & that wasn't too bad. Need to get some time in this weekend. Oh yea got my Cycle Craft caliper rebuild kit. Right front is leaking. Brakes working but spongy & not strong.

The temps haven't been all bad, it's the dang road salt and whatever that liquid crap is they've sprayed on all the bridges. We've only had a couple of snow flurries, and they didn't amount to squat.
