Florida to the Smokies
Left South Florida Saturday 9th June. Made Tifton, GA the first night. Continued up 75 on Sunday then on to Blood Mountain and the 2 Wheels Only campsite in Suches. Monday we did more Blood Mountain and Helen. Continued up to the Kickstand Lodge in Stecoah. Tuesday we hit the Cherohala Skyway and the Dragon from the North. Wednesday we hit the Dragon from the South, the Foothills Parkway,and went to Pidgeon Forge and Gatliburg. Left there and on to the Blue Ridge Parkway until it turned North. Unfortunately we had to start heading South and home again. We made Athens, GA that night which kept us clear of Atlanta. Thursday we continued South to Macon via scenic Route 11 where we picked up 75 and stopped in Ocala. 2:15 Friday we were at Sunrise HD sucking down a cold one. The trip was way too short but we did a lot of riding on 129, 28, 68, 441, and other great roads not mentioned here. We cannot wait to go back.[sm=biker2.gif]
