Heading out to Durango this summer. Want to ride back home on some of Route 66. Home is Philadelphia. Was thinking of picking it up around Albuquerque NM any must sees, or avoidances is welcome.
Thanks
I have ridden from Joliet, Ill to Santa Rosa, NM. And I've also done Flagstaff, AZ to Santa Monica, CA (by car), so I've seen a lot of the route.
Are you interested in seeing only selected attractions (restaurants, old gas stations, classic motels, etc) ? Some folks exit the interstates where needed to see such sites.
I wanted to experience riding/driving as much of the original route as possible. I strongly recommend the EZ 66 Guide book which provides the details needed for such a trip.
Everyone has their own idea of what they want out of 66 - what kind of things are you interested in ?
