Enjoy the trip...Daytona is a great time. Stay safe. Take your leathers! Last time I was there it dropped into the low 30's at night.

Heading out this morning, nice chilly start to our ride 21 degrees in WInchester VA. First time in several years we havent started out in snow/slush/rain on the bright side! Will ride down to Columbia, SC today and roll into Daytona mid day tomorrow.

I have done the ride from Pa lots of times. What I do is get on 95 and run until it gets to about 60 or 70 than side roads. I don't camp I go to hotels with bars in them or close by. So go out to 95 and turn straight for about 600 mile than do your thing. Ridding down this year but maybe sometime in April nicer weather.

I don't mind riding highway to make time but if I don't have to I rather ride 2 lane back roads. I was thinking making B-line to Delaware take 301South to 50 then 13 to the Bay Bridge. After the bridge take VA-58 to I-95 South then when I am in GA I can hope back on 301 South all the way to Acola then cut across to Daytona. I will be camping in the warmer climate areas, hotels in the colder area. Is there better road options? I am open for suggestions

The wife and I are on our way there. We left Feb 2nd and have been rolling south to Carlsbad then east to Las Vegas then NOLA for Fat Tuesday. Currently in Tallahassee and awaiting the dawn to get the last bit done.

Looking forward to seeing what Daytona has to offer. We rode ours 4500+ miles.

Ride safe as you come down.

Just got back. What a trip. From Ct took 84 to 81 Then 77 to 26 to 95. No traffic what so ever. Smooth roads. Did it in 17.5 hrs. 2 drivers. Riding down there was great. They allow cars on Main St now and there was a caravan that hit a few bikes. They got hurt pretty bad. After the mess was cleaned up they still let the cars on main. Perfect weather. I ended up upgrading while I was there. Wife is pissed. Deal I couldn't pass up. We hit a BBQ place off Rt 17 called Pitmasters. It was great. Highly recommended. The band Slaughter was there and they sucked. Ended up walking out. There was a band called After-life with a 1 armed guitarist. He shredded. Band was awesome. Look them up on Facebook. They usually stay down there. Found parking for my trailer. Lots of parking for trailers on A1A. Just keep it hooked to the trailer. The trailers get stolen cause they know that at the end of the week they are loaded and just hook and go. Anyway, Im done ranting.
