Myself and two of my friends are leaving Missouri for 4 weeks from today to head west to Oregon and up to Anchorage and Fairbanks for a 4 week ride. We have been planning this for over a year now. Its about to become a reality for us. Im 70 and thought better do it now. The guys going with me are both 50 and cant take as long off as would like to so maybe in couple years go back for a longer trip if possible
Nice run. Heated gear is a good idea. Good rain suit too. Breathtaking scenery up that way. Bring a good camera and watch out for bears and mountain lions.

Yes have the heated gear and hope my rain gear is good. Really looking forward to this. Thanks
Great! I loved my Alaska Run a few years back. Make sure you run a thread to keep us in the loop. Law of Fuel .... never ever pass an open Gas station... the next one may not be open, may not have gas, may not have electricity to pump gas even if their open and have gas. But, I never packed gas, I rode alone, and was fine. There are two seasons up there ... Winter and construction... dont plan on any more than 50/60 mph... lots and lots of potholes & frost heaves. You wont find paved parking in gas stations and restaurants once your out of the Citys, so plan your out, as your pulling in.
I ran from BC to California to Alaska to Ontario and back to BC. Here is where I started the BC to Alaska part.....
