Planning a trip with at least 2 other bikes to the Ozarks starting April 13th. We should be there until the weekend to start heading back home (20th or so). Looking for any advice on the "must see" roads and sights.
Hi, I googled motorcycle roads in Arkansas and saw the state has a free guide just for that. I sent away for it and got it a week later. It's filled with a lot of good rides. It has detailed routes and the sights to see along the ride. Highly recommend it.
the state guide has some good ideas.... but some of those routes are too much main road and pass some nice spots. Might want to adjust them some. It is easy to get in to areas with scarce fill up spots, moreso if you want 91 or higher. Keep that in mind. if you can get 200 or so out of a tank, no worries. 100...plan it out.
There is a thread Arkansas bucket list that covers all kinds of stuff...pretty long but
I like Eureka Springs, all roads over there are hills and curves. Impressive hills in the NW corner. Hwy 65 to the west.
Marshal area over to Mt View is some cool roads. Blanchard Springs is worth a visit if you get over there. Buffalo river area has some fun spots.
Hot Springs has history of the mob years that is fun to see. Keep in mind roads in the Ouachitas are more impressive crossing mts. East west roads are in the valleys, North South cross hills, 9 7 or 27 have better gradient and overlooks. Talimena is cool.
If you come up the west side of the state you will have more hills. East side has fewer hills and lots of forest. Let me know what kind of spots you are interested in. I'll think some on it.

We are riding up from South Louisiana. HWY 165 up to Little Rock then HWY 65 up to Branson. We plan on riding around Branson for a few days, check out some museums and other attractions, then start heading into North Arkansas. Pig Trail is definitely on the list.
Most of the riders are all about the ride. Personally, I love the more technical roads with scenery. Cherohala Skyway in the Smokies' is one of my favorites thus far in my touring experience. Historic sights are also a plus.
