Smokey Mountain must do rides
Wife and I are taking the bike down to the Smokey Mountains for a week the first of June, we have a house rented in Bryson City NC.
we are planning on riding the Dragon, Cherolaha Skyway and also going to pigeon forge and Gatlinberg.
what are some other rides you all would suggest?
I know of Moonshiner 28 which we will run about half of it to get to the Dragon from where we are staying.
What are some other hidden gem roads or things to see that you all would suggest.
we have been once to the Smokies and been to Clingmans dome went to newfound gap. so looking for some other things also.
From Bryson City take 74 to Murphy. Just past Murphy turn south on 19. Go through Blairsville, GA and take a right on Wolf Pen Gap Rd (180). That will put you out at Suches, GA. Have lunch at Two Wheels of Suches (not sure of their hours right now). Allow 2 to 3 hours to get there. Wolf Pen Gap Rd. is considered one of the great rides in the GA mountains. And Two Wheels is a great place to visit by bike.
For the return trip take 60 north to Ducktown, TN. Stop in McCaysville, GA/Copper Hill, TN and look around a little. The state line splits downtown. If the shops are open there are a lot of historic photos of the area. Really interesting as the copper processing plant killed all vegetation for miles around. It was like driving through the moon when I was younger. Now it's as lush and green as anywhere in the mountains. At Ducktown you intersect 74 and can go right back to Murphy and on to Bryson City.

I have a mad map version of the area but the one Uncle Larry posted is good one. You really can't go wrong down there unless you run into road constructions or rock slides. I haven't seen much of either posted.
Also, thru Townsend and the Foot Hills Parkway..

If you've never been go to Asheville and Biltmore Estate.
