Got a call today from a couple buddies wanting to take a ride this afternoon. Well it was 70 degrees here in southern Missouri in December so how could I say no! We rode over to the Mississippi River and ate dinner at The Dew Drop Inn. (Yes it’s really named that). Left out just before dusk and dark by the time we got home. But man did it feel good to rattle the pipes.
We rode yesterday. 100 mile ride down to Slidell, LA. Visited the dealership and then thin fried catfish and oysters at Middendorf's. Great food and a beautiful day. 50 degrees when we left, but it warmed to about 70.

Middendorfs just does it right. Have not been there in a coule of years but now you have me craving their thin fried catfist at 4:30 am LOL
Rode up north of Green Bay yesterday. It started out at about 35 warmed up to 50. On the way home it was cooling off fast. But it was a great ride. Snow coming to night .
My wife and I rode on Wednesday, here in WI. It was low 50s temps, so not too bad at all. Could have rode yesterday too, but my schedule didn't allow for it. Temps are dropping back into the 30 for the foreseeable future, and some snow may be in the forecast this weekend, so that might have been the last ride of the year for us.
Had some errands in two different directions and the same idea. 70 degrees and a cloudless sky in Dec??? Let's get it. Those long johns felt good in the morning but by afternoon was questioning that decision.
Saw an eagle up close, great view of the air Force guys tryin to hide their cargo planes in a valley and lots of great scenery in the hills with the leaves off the trees!! Took me some back back roads.
Got a few miles in today. Supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow!
Dec.11 with no chaps, no heated gear, no full face helmet and just light gloves and leather coat...I'll take it!
