After last year, the outbreak of CV 4 months later that the (FAKE) news
tried to blame on the event.
Wondering if the powers that be will try to kill it.
I'm hoping we're coming out of the woods on this sh__.
But I want to go to a BIG event this year. I'm half tempted to ride out
there (by myself)
If it wasn't cancelled last year, why would it be cancelled this year ? They interviewed the Daniel Ainslie, Sturgis City Manager this week on the radio and he basically said they will take similar precautions to what was done last year. He didn't feel there would be any reason to cancel the rally based on current conditions. It's a region wide event not only the city of Sturgis and riders are coming, rally or no rally. Gov. Noem would not support a "no rally" decision. If you come, avoid crossing reservations - some are still on lockdown and may be later in the year.
That being said, reservations for my friends campground have already above 40% of what they did last year and we're only at the beginning of March. It should be a typical non anniversary size crowd and probably similar to last year around 400-450k attendees depending on what attendance source is chosen.

What do you care if we are or are not "coming out of the woods"? Sturgis 2020 being a super spreader was all fake news anyway right? I'm guessing things will be a lot better by mid summer unless some idiot state decide it's the right time to open up 100% right F'N now. I'm also guessing you were one of the fortunate that knows of nobody that caught the "Chinese flu" or lost a loved one. Wish I was in your camp. Anyway if the "fake news" insist there is still a global pandemic occurring by rally time please by all means go, don't wear a mask or keep socially distant, and help the rest of us deepen the gene pool while you are adding to herd immunity.
@byersmtrco Yeah - if you can go - do it. ZZTop and Kid Rock are announced for the Chip. I know @rizzo has some friends that own a campground, so maybe PM him? The nice thing about staying at the Chip is you can enjoy your beerz and sleep without having to move. I've done the Chip, [3times?] and you're more likely to catch berry berry from the free outhouses than Covid. That said, it's rained at least once each of those three and twice hailed. As I prefer to ride there, the latest tent I brought was a Redverz Atacama, and provided a shelter from the storm for my motorcycle... - all be it pricy...
August is a ways off, and if you need an exit strategy, monitor the conditions, and cancel if need be. I don't know if you need to stay away from the ones who
Sturgis 2021, 81 Rally should be Very Exciting, 81 is Hells angels number.
As for Covid , Stop tuning into the fake media. it's all lies.
If you value your life, Do not get the vaccine, It is not a vaccine, it is a shot that will change your DNA.
As Trump says " The best is yet to Come".
Go to Sturgis and enjoy Life
There is a campground across the road from the Buffalo Chip, that is very cheap, with showers, very clean and nice, and Quiet.
Then you can drive or walk to the Buffalo Chip to get loud and enjoy the events. http://www.gentleeaglemanor.com/

I’ll be there. I’m not worried about Covid while riding. Since Lynyrd Skynyrd retired, I have no reason to stay at the Chip. Needles, iron mtn, black hills riding, Covid safe activities. I don’t need any cheap Chinese stuff, so I don’t need to go downtown. Black Hills Harley has anything I’d need and they are all Covid safe, okay, I’m wrong, so what!
