If you plan on going in the morning, go early. We got there a little after 9, there was 5 ahead of us. When we left about 10:30, they were backed up half way up the hill with some taking u-turns and heading back.

 

watch your speed in the area apparently 8 over is frowned upon.

 

Been that way for awhile. Here is a pic of my grandson and I waiting in line in early July. It took 45 min to get to the pay station then they held us in a parking lot near the prairie dog town for another 45 until enough folks left the parking lot near the tower.

 

Unless you want to hike around the tower, seeing it from outside the park will do. I most certainly wouldn't wait in line on a Harley to get in there.

 

Been there once during the rally, see no need to go back other than ride by.

It's a good ride with a stop at the Stonehouse Saloon .... Very neat place
