Default 2019 road trip in Norway from Switzerland

Maybe the best road trip I do alone, is in 2019.

Norway is just awesome!

Somewhat reminds me of our (my cousin and I) trip to Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and PEI also in 2019.
We rode 6100+ miles in 22 days and took three ferries (one overnight and two for several hours).

If I may ask, how many days did this trip take, how many riding miles and how many ferry miles, and was this a "once-in-a-lifetime" ride?

My "one-time" trek was my trip to Alaska in 2000.
I have no inclination to repeat that trip but I would like to return to the PNW ( Idaho, Washington and Oregon) and then loop east back to Montana and perhaps a final trip to the Sturgis Rally....someday

it was my second big trip, the previous one was to my native country Portugal. and until 2022 where I devoted my free time in summer to helping in Ukraine, I have several trips, 2020 I went to Corsica, 2021 I took a tour in the south of France at the base I was supposed to do all of France but I had a breakdown plus the weather which prevented me from achieving my goal. As for Norway, it took me around 5000 miles over 15 days. I love going on a trip with a more or less defined destination and letting me go with the wind. Although I manage to free up time, the biggest problem is often money... after all, it's the crux of the matter as they say around here. But Norway had something very, very special. my dream would be to one day come with my own motorcycle to the United States and tour the country but for that I would have to take at least a year off and have something like $60,000 to cover everything the costs… which for the moment is beyond my reach.

Very impressive!
If I remember correctly my (our) trip in 2019 to Newfoundland cost me about $4500 but the ferry costs inflated that trip a bit.

Being that we are both retired my (our) trips do not require a loss of income which is it's self is fantastic!
When traveling, lodging is one of the single most costly expenditures unless you can camp but I'm (we're) too old for that!
When I travel alone or share a room with my riding partner I plan my total daily expenditures at $200 per day but when my wife goes with me I increase that to $ 300-$ 400 per day as we have to pay for pet care and my wife has "standards" much higher than mine in regards to lodging and food!

Norway being one of the most expensive countries in the world I did a lot of camping in nature, the ferry and gasoline cost me the most. For food I had a few combat rations with me and I managed to eat things that were not too expensive. I was also lucky enough to have family scattered across Germany, Sweden and Luxembourg, which gave me short stops where I could eat with the family. I also came across a group of Norwegian bikers who welcomed me for two days when my motorbike broke down. Maybe I said something stupid but I think it cost me around $1600 in total. obviously I couldn’t do any activity that cost me a lot of money. so a few hikes a few museums and that’s it…. For this summer I don't yet know if I'm going on a road trip or if I'm going back to help my brothers in arms in Ukraine. I am still quite young but I have developed some illnesses like arthritis in my hands asthma etc. which prevents me from physically doing everything I would like...
