I try to have the socket or wrench for every fastener I can get to.

I didn't see anyone mention spare fuses or a length of wire & crimp connectors.

JB Weld / Quick Steel.

Spare key goes on a leather strap around my neck. I have motorcycle trip and gear lists I prepared and modified through the years for different times of year (climates), solo or two up, camping or not. Makes it a lot easier to pack for my next trip. Being somewhat **** (and forgetful?), I sometimes have a list which duffle, case or bag stuff is in so when needed I don’t have to start searching. With few exceptions I haven’t needed anything I don’t bring, except food, gas (I do bring an extra gallon of gas and quart of oil), fun and good weather!

Clear glasses for night riding, which I never do.

Neck gaiter if it gets cooler than expected.

IF your battery has THREE SEASONS of use on it you should seriously consider replacing it before the FOURTH SEASON especially if you're planning on taking a road trip.
I'm currently on the THIRD SEASON with the battery in my Tri-Glide and I'm hoping that it can make it a few more weeks to the end of our riding season and I'll order a new replacement next spring.[/QUOTE]

YES completely agree. Here in Az you get TWO riding seasons...

As far as roadside assistance, is a HOG membership worth having?
YES. I have that as well as my bike insurance.

I think I have THREE extras in my tour pack pouch.
I actually had to replace one in my FOB while on a trip several years ago and the battery that I had to replace had just been installed in the FOB at the beginning of the riding season.
