Actually, the Chief Joseph Highway might be a sportier part of the loop we ride!
that's a definite Podium finisher ride trip for me without question, which included Lolo Pass, Glacier NP, Yellowstone and South Dakota..I'd give PCH1 Big Sur SF / Montery to San Simeon the Gold .. WA Olympics North Cascades to San Juan Islands the Silver and BT the Bronze medal..so close actually they might all be interchangeable..1 a, b & c

All good rides!
Lolo Pass is probably my favorite ride!
Motorcycle Advisory signs are posted on both sides warning motorcycles of thirty-two miles on the Montana and ninety-nine miles on the Idaho side of nice twisty corners and no traffic! Sometimes we're guilty of riding it almost like a closed-circuit track. Carefully of course!
There is a campground on the Lolo side where we haul over every year in September and ride it for two days about five hundred miles of fun with my son.
I had the beartooth highway shirt “i got my *** over the pass”.
remember going when they were resurfacing the road and some parts gravel on step grade\incline.. construction stops everywhere, thought the altitude would get me..
loved it though, wouldn't change that experience..thanks for sharing the video…
We truly are blessed. I rarely get to the west side of the Cascades anymore, but in the inland NW, you are in striking distance (a day at most, if you ride hard) of some of the best there is. Idaho and Montana are just incredible, as long as the temp stays out of the triple digits.
