Starting from Indianapolis, I'm going mostly the same route I did in 24, just not going all the way to the Grand Canyon. Last time, I had one night at each stop. It was go go go. I saw a lot of things that I wished I'd have time to check out. Kinda torn on repeating a route, but it's such a great route! So I'm going again and spending 2 nights in a Colorado Springs and 2 nights in Ouray. Doing Pikes Peak again if weather permits, but I want to check out Garden of the Gods, Mesa Verde, and Ouray hot springs. I'm still camping all but 3 nights, but KOA rustic cabins and not a tent. Mainly because my girl as agreed to go with! She's gonna be miserable the first 2 days, but after we get to Colorado, the views make it all worth it. Longest stretch I have planned is 10 hours. She's looking forward to the hot springs.
We're calling this our "housymoon" because she's moving in the week before. We've been together 2 years now, and we're ready to start a new chapter. My hope is that when we get back she's stoked and looking forward to the next one.

When in Colorado Springs, first evening take her to walk around Manitou Springs and grad some chow. Its a very cool little town at the base of Pikes Peak. Also do the Cripple Creek run, its an old gold mining town and has a lot of history.
Its a nice ride from Durango to Mesa Verde NP, great riding and do the hike near the visitor center to the Pueblo ruins. We are also going to be in Co Spgs on June 20th for 3 nights. Pikes Peak On the train to Silverton
The plan is to do the peak on day 3and then check out Garden of the Gods. If we have time, we'll spend the evening in Manitou. If not, day 4 breakfast in Manitou and a couple hours before the ride over to Ouray. Manitou was one of the places I wanted to spend a little time in, but I had a really aggressive timeline last time.
We were disappointed with the hot springs in Ouray. Seemed more like a public pool. Bunch of screaming brats.
Other than that we loved Ouray! Great little town.
Hired a guide to take us on the way up high off roads.
Went to about 13K ASL. He was lighting Winston's while we were gasping for breath.
Spent a week in Colorado [24]. Spent nights in Durango [3], Silverton and Estes Park

Ridden and drove through Ouray many times. It is a quaint town, and of course a beautiful ride going south from there to Silverton and Durango. I never stopped at the hot springs in town, but gotta agree with Nokkon from what I saw, it definitely looks like a public pool.
