Please suggest best fly-n-ride locations for winter riding???
Living in the Pacific Northwest... and being an avid rider... I'm eager to find some great fly 'n' ride destinations in the continental USA which would be warm-ish and dry during the months when it's cold and soggy most everywhere else - from November until April or so... and also, hopefully, have interesting geography, towns, views, whatever...
I just got back from a fly 'n' ride around Sedona, Camp Verde, Jerome, Flagstaff, Kingman, the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas... it was just magnificent and the weather/temperature were awesome for riding... but I think that area may not be so great for riding as we get deeper into winter.... so I'm eager for new ideas on locations.
Where do you think the best places to go for a "fly 'n' ride" are during the winter months from November to April? Just looking at the map, Tucson, the south tip of Texas, and southern Florida all look "south enough" that they might be warmish during winter months, but I've never ridden there...
RE: Please suggest best fly-n-ride locations for winter riding???
Since you mentioned South Florida, onepossible starting point would be Miami. The ride on US 1 through the keys is pretty spectacularand you'll find alarge number of bikes and bars once you reach Key West. I rented from Peterson's H-D in Miami and had no issues.

If your doing Tucson I would give Caren & Lance a call at Big Sky motorcycles. Their great people and can help you with your trip. They also rent ATV so if you want to do some off roading you can do that too!
