Pilgrimage Rides
For the last few years, Ive done what some might call a pilgrimage ride to the Wounded Knee massacre site on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. I go there for strictly personal reasons.
From my home in Atlanta, its about a three-day ride one direction. Ive always done this ride alone and look forward to it every year.
Just curious if others do a similar ride either solo or as a group

Definitely. My pilgrimage rides are usually not of that length, but I try to take 3 or 4 longer rides during the year by myself. They are always a time of refreshing, renewal, and reflection. Couldn't imagine not being able to take them. My most recent was four days on the Blue Ridge Parkway in October - One Ride To Live , and my next will be on the Natchez Trace Parkway in February - Tranquil Trace.
