I am leaving for Florida tomorrow to escape the Ohio winter, I am looking for some suggestions from Florida riders on good rides in the Ocala central area.
There are plenty of great rides, through the forrest out highway 40 to the coast Ormond beach stop by J&P cycles store and Daytona Harley, go to Houligans they have killer wings, and big boobed girls in referee uniforms. U can take US1 from there and have an awesome ride up to St. Augustine. You will have plenty of choices.
If you want to just go low traffic ride'n go to the west coast and fannings springs hot springs, the town of Suwannee and Cedar key. Ride up 19/98 to the south side of tallahssee along the coast and get some great seafood. Don Garlets drag raceing museum south of ocala on I-75. You can always visit the hd tourist trap off i-95 and us1. Ride down us27 from ocala to Lake okeechobee, traffic can s*ck around I-4 but will turn nice with in 20 minutes and it is a very good old 4lane road this is the old orange grove areas but all have moved south. In clewiston if you spend a night try Rowland Martins Marina, great dock side bar and try the Sonny's bbq there ,this is the first of the chain and the best. You can ride back north on 441 and work back to us-27 south of orlando go ride. Visit Silver Springs this is a old tourist place past up by most great clear warm water. I lived down there for 41 years and do miss the ride'n up and down the middle of the state.
When you are in Ocala you'd swear you are back in Ohio. Horse farms, gently rolling hills (well hills for Florida), but much more tolerable temperatures.

Go down to Everglades City and spend a night in The Rod and Gun Club if you get a chance. It is as old as south florida gets . Try the airboat ride about 1mile west of hi29 on us41,that is the last corner before everglades city.Great old fishing town.. Drive and ride safe.
