Default Pig Trail

This summer I plan to hit the Pig Trail (Arkansas Hwy 23) from Eureka Springs to I-40 and I was wondering what is your favorite section of road, and if there is any good advice from the forum on that trip. Also places to stay, things to do, and how long to spend on it. I know that there are some great stories out there........ 25th Inf Div Russ

All roads in Ark. are great. Pig Trail is among many. Stop at Pig Trail HD in Rodgers and they can steer you right. The Pig Trail to I-40, to 21 and back is a neat ride. Highway 7 also a fav. Eureka Springs is a friendly stopping place. Not a bad place anywhere.

I rode it while at Bikes Blues & BBQ last year and had a great time. While you're in the area, check out Across The Creek in Garfield. It's not marked very well and many locals don't even know about it but they have an outstanding seafood buffet on Fri & Sat nights.

I enjoy 23 from Hwy 16 down to I-40. I often ride Hwy 62 out of Rogers to Eureka and then Hwy 23 south to Hwy 12 back into Rogers. Be careful in Eureka as they've started giving bikers a hard time for their exhaust. I've ridden all the roads and can honestly say you can't make a wrong turn.

Are they going by sight or sound, on the exhaust?

When you go thru a little town called KINGSTON, stop at the restaurant in the town square(forgot the name)..they have the best burgers, fries and homemade pie in the country!!!

Stay off throttle in ES and you'll be ok.....

Where in Oklahoma are you riding from? I live about an hr or so north of Eureka Springs, and every once and a while I'll do a weekend "loop": down the pig trail (hwy 23), then back up scenic 7 (north out of Russellville). Depending where you're coming from in Okla. you could take I-40 to scenic 7 then overnight it at the Iron Horse Stables in Eureka Springs, then down hwy 23 to I-40 and home. Iron Horse is a biker resturant/bar/hotel--pretty cool place to hang out, especially in the summer when the bikes are out. Just a thought....

I'm about 14 miles north of I-40 on Hwy 75 (Okmulgee) so your reccomendation sounds perfect, and I'll stay at the Iron Stables too in ES. I hadn't heard about Hwy 7 so that will work out nice. I also want to visit Paris Ark and Mt. Magazine and Blue Mt. Lake. I should have gone down the Trail when I went to Bikes Blues and BBQ last year but I had a blast there too and I was only there on Wed and Thursday. I can't imagine how crowded it must have been on Saturday..... Thanks Russ
