Gatlinburgh TN

I'm heading out to Gatlinburgh TN from the Chicago area in April.....any suggestions on where to go when I get there? We've never been there before.

Oh yeah... many, many options. First the Park: You will want to ride all of the roads, but especially US 441 from Gatlinburg to Cherokee. Then of course, TN 73 from Gatlinburg to Townsend.

Try the Foothills Parkway from Townsend to "Tail of the Dragon", then of course, the Dragon. From the Dragon, take Cherohala Skyway to Tellico Plains.

And then all the roads that connect them! It's a great area and you will have lots of fun. In April, be sure to bring warm gear and waterproof gear in addition to clothes for warmer weather - it's pretty variable at that time of year.
