Has anyone been.....
.......to the Smokies this year? The wife and I are headed to Maggie Valley in mid June for 5 days. How was the riding? Any roads closed that I should watch out for? Anything you saw that we shouldn't miss while we're there?

Just got back on Saturday,what a trip.All roads were open,we stayed in a cabin outside of Pigeon Forge,at times going thru the main drag was a pain in the neck,we stayed out of the main part of town and had a blast,I would love to live down there but it will have to wait until I retire because I would never go to work, the roads are perfect down ther,It's almost as if the built them with bikers in mind.You can't go wrong with any side trip you take,we averaged about 225 a day on our side trips,you gotta discover it for yourself

Check the BRP. Back in April the section north of Asheville north past Mt Mitchell was still completely closed in both directions. Go to their website for updates. Best road for me is the one from Franklin to Highlands and Cashiers. Bridal Veil Falls is on this road. HWY 28.
