You must have one heck of a co-pilot. To pack for a trip like this and not be pulling a trailer or have any luggage on top of your tour pak... well my hats off to both of you . You'll have to share your packing secrets. How are you staying connected to the web? Laptop or B'berry?
Sorry folks had to take a couple of days off. A car slammed it's brakes on in front of us and we didn't get stopped in time. Hope to be back on the road soon

Yes my co-pilot is one heck of a packer. We took 4 pairs of socks undies and t shirts each with us and will do laundrey as we need. a couple of jeans and boots for me a couple of shoes for her. If you roll your clothes it seems to fit better. Also a rain suit each and our leather jackets. those are strapped to the tourpack when not in use.
As for staying connected I bought a HP Mini for the trip which is a 10 inch laptop and just logging in from hotel to hotel

I trust you are ok and only had minor damage? The pictures are amazing and I am very jealous. BTW - I see you have your stock seat. I have an '08 Streetglide and I replaced my stock seat after my **** got very sore from a 500 mile trip with a buddy.
Best of luck on getting back on the road, keep the pictures coming and ride safe!
I hate to say it but,the trip might be over after all. Was at the dealer this morning and they were saying that it might be too much money and time to get it road worthy again, let alone back to factory specs. He still thinks that the triple tree might have damage, because the whole fairing has been pushed in and twisted. He thinks that there might be some stress marks on the goose neck as well. Tire should have a flat spot from locking up. Plus quite a bit more cosmetic damage that we can see without even getting it on a bench.
I have to wait for the insurance adjuster to tell us which way he wants us to go. fix it or ship it home and fix it there.
Thanks UltraRider:
That is the most important thing... Both her and I walked away from it. As much as we are hurting now it could have been worse. We have to stay optimistic.
