Back from first Seattle-Sturgis ride
We did some awesome rides back there in the Sturgis area, the Needles, the Badlands, and the loop out to the south ending up riding through the Spearfish Canyon... all awesome in terms of roads and views.
Had great weather going and while there... it was actually a heatwave in Seattle (100+ temps) so it was nice to "cool off" in the 80s in the midwest! Mother Nature threw the whole kitchen sink at us on the way back however... lightening storms, monsoons, snow, hail, mud roads, gravel, and extreme wind. Wow, what a trip!
We left Seattle and went down through the Tri-Cities area and Boise, through Yellowstone and across Wyoming, up into Sturgis. On the way back it was up across Montana, Idaho, and Washington... in all cases taking secondary highways as much as possible rather than the interstates.
It was great fun. A recommended trip for anyone!
