I am California, well, Nevada, dreaming all ready! I want to fly into Vegas, rent a bike, and take day trips for a week. Where is a good place to stay? I am loking for hassle free and secure motorcycle parking, and a quick escape out of town...Any recommendations? Thanks!
Make sure to check out the HOG Fly and Ride program. For the $45 HOG membership, you can save about $50 per day on a rental compared to the dealership. You'll also get roadside assistance for a year.
Did a trip back in 2005, with Eagleriders (Wild West Tour) we stayed in the Excalibur (they've probably knocked it down and built another one in its place by now). No problems at all, there was something like 20 bikes on the tour and they provided space for us to park the bikes up together - that makes me laugh really, 'space' the car park was nearly the same size as the town I live in here in the UK.
I rented a Harley in Vegas a few years ago and went back to the hotel (Bellagio) to pick up my wife. I was informed that I wasn't to park the Ultra near the front door and that there was parking for it around back. Bellagio is not bike friendly.
MGM Grand is pretty biker friendly. I flew to Vegas and bought a Busa, they have secured parking and it's one floor up from the MGM HD store. Nice place to stay, but a little more then 20 bucks a night.
