The brothers and I are going to Oakland Ca. from Los Angeles. We will be leaving on Sat and coming back on sunday on Highway One. Highway one is one of the greatest rides in the country. Should be a good 800 plus mile 2 day trip.
My wife thought I came up with a good idea when I suggested we trailer our bike up to Okrahoma (inside joke) to transport a truck, build a sister-in-law an outdoor deck, family reunions (ruins?), etc. as we are planning on off loading the trailer at my Dad's in South in of the state and cruise around. Who knows, Robbers Cave, T-Town, around and around till we get tired... just as soon as I 'help' build the deck.
I will be goin up to Paso Robles for a car show.Unfortunately I will be takin the cage as it will be a family trip.We are headin out Sat morning & shootin back home Mon morning. It will be nice to just get away for a couple days.
It wasn't a big ride, but I put about 150 mi. today on a ride up into the mountains. The mountains were nice and green and there's nothing like the smell of the mountains in the early morning. (at least to me) Didn't see to many bikers on the freeway, but the ride was still great. On the mountains back in the distance, there was still a lot of snow. It made a nice pic.
We just got back from the Fossil Campout. It was our first, and it was GREAT! You can see some pics and info about it here http://www.fossilcampout.com/
