My husband and I are going to take a 9 day trip on our Ultra Classic in June. We live in Southeastern NC and want to ride to eastern TN, then on up into Kentucky, then to WA, then into VA and come on home down NC. I would love to be able to map this out and be able to highlight the points of interest we want to stop and and ride through, you know, so I can actually SEE before me the ride we want to take. I have books that show me the exact places I want to go and places we want to see, but I want to MAP it. You know, kinda like map quest does, but it will only do it from point A to point B, not point A to B to C to D and so on.
Any suggestions? Gosh, we're looking forward to this. Have never taken a motorcycle trip this many days before!
Google maps will let you add all the destinations you want. I would have thought map quest did as well........
Went to map quest and got directions....then it will let you add another destination.

Microsoft streets and trips and DeLorme both will work but neither one is free. I haven't tried the other ones that are suggested so you may want to check them out first before you buy anything.
BTW. I like the truck in your Siggy. I have a cladded Avalanche myself.
You're going to need more than 9 days if you want to do all that and run out west to Washington in the middle of your trip...or did you mean W.Va

I use Map Source from Garmin, it comes with the Zumo 660 and probably any of the zumo GPSs. It lets me map everything I need. I mapped a 14 day trip with at least a dozen waypoints per day. I really enjoy using it. I mapped each day individually and then put them all on one map. I label the maps day one thruough however many days and can download each one into the zumo and just pick the day I'm on and ride the map. I also take my NetBook computer so If I want to change a map or look at it on a larger scale than the zumo screen I can look at it on the computer screen. With my air card I can even look at the routes in google earth and it zooms down to a really low level and you get an idea of terrain changes also. It even has those cool pictures that show exactly what the road looks like.
