My wife and I are heading for sturgis again this year and would like to ride with other people this time ,we made the 1650 mile trip alone last year it was a blast but could have been better with other people to ride with.
Let me know if anyone heading that way this year that wants to ride together.
It sounds fun!
I will leave Jupiter, FL probably on 08/06/10, and pull a camper trailer.
If your schedule is the same as mine, then we may be able to tag along. Where is your location, and what is the plan?

If you prefer, I will leave Jupiter, FL on 08/05 or 08/06/10, and we tag along. I will take Turnpike from my house, then I-75 north, and so on.

Hey Nick We are leaving from Highsprings Fl. on probably the 5 so we have a little leeway for problems . Would love to have company for the trip we will be pulling a small trailer behind bike so we have to stop about every hundred miles for fuel and we will be camping for the entire trip unless the weather is really bad . We plan to arrive on sunday sometime we will be taking 75 thru georgia and going up thru tenn. and over to St louis and so forth.
Your route is the same as mine, except that I am not sure that I can leave until the 6th (work).
Yes, I travel alone, and Sturgis is one my stops of my yearly crossing country (FL-CA-FL).
This is the first time I will pull a camper trailer across the country, and I hope I can make it home. (_)
If I can make it in the 5th, then you have a wonderful trip.
Usually, it takes me about 3 days to get to Sturgis, but with the trailer, then I am not sure. Four day trip is probably a comfortable ride to Sturgis from my house (Jupiter, FL). Your will be a little bit shorter, so you will be fine.
Let me know!
Nick
I am able to take few more days off, so I ahve no problem to leave on 08/05/10.
I have started a new thread for those who will pull a camping trailer, or camp along the road.
When you say "camp along the road" do you literally just pull off to the side of the road when you get tired, or are you talking about finding a campground along the way?

I've meant in a campground.
Personally, I have camped on the desert many time by myself, but I don't think it will be practical for a group ride.
Thanks for asking!
