Me and the wife are taking a few day ride this coming memorial day weekend. We are down about 40 miles east of Dallas and will be riding up to Talihina oklahama, take Hwy 1 (Talimena Pass), then cut back up through Heavener into Poteau, Ok where my wife is from. Then the next morning we are going to get out and ride up to Winslow and Devils Den.
My first question, anyone know of a more scenic route from Ft. Smith to Winslow other than 40 to 540 and then up? I see a few routes that go through the park and up and look pretty good on the map?.
Second question, what are some good roads up around Winslow? Looking at the map i see some good curves east and west of Winslow, but no idea on the road quality? any advice?
