S. Florida to Sturgis

Guess i dont understand?
This is my 16th straight year going to Sturgis. I usually arrive on Sunday and stay until Saturday.
This will be my only time off for the the year so i make the most of it. 61 years old and wont be able to retire for another 13 years if my health holds out. Or i Win the Lottery!!!!

That's why it has thrown me off a while.It doesn't matter, enjoy and ride safe!
17 more days, and I cannot wait!

Good catch. you made me recheck my reservations. Fortunately they were correct or would already be there and didn't know it.

Just curious, are you going to camp, or stay in motel/hotel?

Yep! I work night, so I'm used to stay up late (almost all night). 15 more days. I can't wait!

We use to camp in Spearfish back in the 90's when we would bring the kids in the sidecar. Now they are on their own. We found a motel Americas Best value in Rapid City several years ago. The manager has become a good friend and has survived all the different owners and is still in charge. Rates are reasonable considering the Rally and we have met a lot of people that stay there every year so it is kinda like an Annual family reunion.

Dennis whats the motels name, I'm planning on a 1 night stay in Rapid City on Saturday 7/31 and leaving and tieing in with friends on Sunday 8/1. Any watering holes or eatin joints near the motel

a nice easy ride to the koa in keystone/hill city. she has and 05 nightrain and i will be on an 06 road king. been staying at the same place for years. meeting up with others there.

I like Custer, so I try stay there every time I come to the rally. Beside, I will have a nice ride to Sturgis.
