From the Dragon to the Snake
Anyone have a good route from the Tail of the Dragon/Deal's Gap (129) to the Snake/Shady Valley (421) ? Coming down on the BRP and would like to catch a few curves on the way back

Well if your on the Nc side stay on hi-19 till you get to Elizabethton Tenn and turn north/east on to county 91. This road will take you to Shady Valley, Turn right ,your there. Rides more like a snake on the road try'n to warm. If you want a much better ride then ride 226A and 80s,both below the BR. As you on ride 19 towards the snake. You have to go through Sprues Pine NC, Turn right on 226 and when you get to the BR go under and to the right, your on the top of 226a. You might want to have a Western NC map to find these roads. Ride 226a down the mountian back to 226 then toward Marion. Turn right on to Toms creek road ,by an old gas station. This road runs across to 80s. Turn right on 80s and run back up the mountain. Watch those curves,,, some are decreasing radius. You can run 80 back to hi-19 and turn??? Many more roads around here are as good as any you will ride but not on most maps. Double island ,80n just for a couple more if you have the map..
