touring NS for 10 days mid july, mostly cape brenton. we will be staying in hotels. anyone ever experience any difficulty getting a room? i don't like reservations unless necessary. any advice, tips, appreciated. thanks!
We did it 4 yrs ago and didn't have any concerns.
Although, we were there in early June, and had to get the heat turned back on to dry out our gear!
We also stopped around 4 ish.
Enjoy the scenery, lots to see!
The wife and I did Nova Scotia last August. While we made hotel reservations for the entire trip before we left, we took more time in some places and less in others, so we landed-up changing the reservations all along the way - never a problem. We were there for ~10 days; started and ended in Yarmouth, touring the coastline (mostly) clockwise up thru the Cabot Trail (a MUST SEE) and back down to Yarmouth. Absolutely spectacular scenery!! A couple of specific recommendations: have scallops in Digby (they are "world famous" for their scallops) and stop in the seemingly nothing little town of Peggy's Cove. We were fortunate as we had great weather the entire trip - only one day with some fog and a breif period of drizzle. Enjoy!!
