Not sure how much time you have for side trips but here are a few that wont put you so far out of your way and are well worth the effort. Missoula MT has a fantastic HD Shop and the staff there were far more than accomidating the last time I was there. Cool little town at the base of the mountains
There's a couple nice motels (Comfort Inn or Super 8,
I can't remember) right at the Missoula exit, on the north side of the exit. But the real treasure is down at the WalMart at the same exit. They have the absolute best store-bought jerky anywhere. It's really good, and it's made right there in Missoula. You gotta get some, it's awesome! Enjoy!
