Default What to pack for Sturgis?

Me and a buddy are riding to Sturgis next month from Denver. We don't have any experiece with roads trips so looking for some good advice on what to pack for the road like rain gear etc.. We're staying in a motel so don't need camping stuff.

be ready for 30-90 degree temps and rain. We had to use our leathers a couple of nights last year but during the day it was HOT.

The weather can be all over. Having a great set of rain gear is a must. Then send everything you need via UPS and travel light. Just your jackets, helmuts, change of cloths and that's it. In my opinion it's the best way to go.

go thru your drawers at home. look at stuff. everything that you should have tossed over the last year and didn't, pack it. wear it 2 days and toss it. makes room to bring stuff back. why haul stuff both ways. get the starbucks instant and you can get hot water just about anywhere for free except Wall, sd. you can only get ice water there for free. a credit card and some cash. oh, toothbrush/toothpaste. unless you are going there to meet the next love of your life you can go a day between showers and if you need a shower ride in the rain some.
