Wisconsin trip report
Well we made it back yesterday safe and somewhat sound, 2500 miles total. Favorite roads were 35 south out of LaCrosse, 60 out of Prairie du Chein to Sauk City, 55 north out of Shawano and 51 north to Ashland. Favorite stops were McGregor,Iowa-pikes peak state park out of McGregor(must see), Duluth(tall ships coming in) and Detroit lakes,Mn. While Door county was nice I'll probably not rush back to see it, did take a wrong turn at Eagle River and somehow landed in Michigan which we came to find out is a helmet state so had to exit quickly. Worst part of the trip was coming home across S.Dak on 90(VERY HOT AND VERY WINDY). Anybody coming to Sturgis and staying in Mitchell should have dinner at Chef Louies(great food). All in all I would love to go back to Wisconsin and maybe spend more time on the alphabet roads.

We'll be staying over in Mitchell this Saturday night. What kind of food does Chef Louies serve ? And... 55 out of Shawano is one of my favorite roads too. Did you happen to stop at the Wolf River Inn for lunch ?
