Hello to all my HD Forum friends--I arrived home today--safely. The total miles for my second road trip were 9927, and I was on the road 32 days. I did an unoffical Iron Butt again--made the run from Newtown Ct to Florida, covering 1017 miles in 16 hours and 51 minutes--In my trip I rode through 27 states and Washington DC and put my hands in The Pacific Ocean--it was quite a ride.

Glad you made it home safely. That's quite a trip. Any problems? You must have seen some cool places. Got any favorites?

The Grand Canyon took my breath..a couple of years ago now, but still #1 for sheer dramatic and unique scenery.

Glad to hear you made it back ok. I remember when you posted up that you were leaving for Sturgis, and on west after that. I'm in Florida too and hope to do a ride to the mountain states one of these days. Would you mind if I PM you for some info about routes etc.?

Hi--no significant problems to speak of--had the neutral switch replaced in Sioux Falls, SD and the toe shifter lever replaced in Pennsylvania--Had the bike serviced in both places also--a new rear tire in Pennsylvania at 22300 miles. I saw so many things--the Arch in St Louis--coal barges on The Mississippi, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Needles Highway, Custer National Park, Black Hills National Forest, The Badlands, Las Vegas, San Francisco--did Lombard Street, Dallas and The Keneddy Museum at The Texas Book Depository, Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, Cherola Skyway, The Tail of The Dragon (again), No Panties Wednesday in Hewlett Wyoming, Deadwood, Spearfish, Mohave Desert, Crossed The Rockies, Sierra Nevadas, Applachiam Mountains, Great Smokies, Rode over The Golden Gate Bridge & Hoover Dam, went to Alcatraz, Crossed Mississipi & Rio Grande Rivers, Saw harbor seals swimming in San Francisco Bay, Bison roaming in Custer National Park, was chilled by 54 degrees in San francisco and sweated in 106 degrees in Arkansas, Rode a cable car, put the bike on a ferry from Bridgeport Ct to Port Jefferson, NY--stopped for speeding in Texas--81 in a 70--got off with a warning, won $100 in Vegas and finally did another Iron Butt from Newtown, Ct to just north of Jacksonville Fl for a total of 1017 miles in 16 hours and 51 minutes--It was one hell of a ride.!!!!

Hi Cosmo--well lets see--We are leaving on the 15th of September for the Key West Poker Run. That is about 350 miles roundtrip. Then in October it will be Biketoberfest (500 miles or so) in Daytona and finally The Florida State HOG Rally in Ft. Myers (250 miles roundtrip) . My next road trip?? Nothing planned at the moment. Thanks to everyone for the nice comments--as I said--it was one hell of a ride. Here is a copy of my trip map-- Started and ended in Florida--follow the green line.

Jular, Great trip! I wish we could have ridden together while you were in AZ. The one thing that really amazed me about the ride was that you talked a Texas Trooper out of a speeding ticket. You are the man.
