I agree with Weakened Warrior. I'm from PA & rented a bike in May, out there. Stayed overnight the 1st night in Kingman. A friend told me about Oatman, so I took a ride out to it. Sure glad I did! The road's a little rough in places, but hey, that's all "part of the price of admission" for great country like that!
I'm doing Chi-Town to L.A. on the Mother Road Tour also. Leaving for Chicago from Columbus, OH on Friday 9/10, planning to overnight around Indy and finish up to Chicago on Saturday.
Have to say that the HOG organisation of this trip has been terrible. Booked and Paid in May and only got the Itinerary on Friday - a week before the trip. No website or Forum for members doing the tour, and no listserv so people can organise rides in to the route together.
Maybe it will get better............
I don't have the time to ride back so I am shipping my bike and flying back. What are others doing?
Anyone else doing the tour can PM me or post here.
