Default 4250 Miles in 7 days!!

So the trip was decided because a friend wanted to bring his ultra down to his house in vegas.

Rider 1: 2002 ultra classic
rider 2: 2007 springer
rider 3: 2010 dyna fat bob (me)

Trip plans:

Minneapolis to vegas. Vegas to LA for A day.

Left Friday Aug 27, 2010 at 6am (cst). rode all day through the boring iowa, nebraska roads. Stopped in steerling, CO for the night. Finished up the trip to vegas on day 2 pulling into vegas about 12:30am (cst) on sunday morning.

Aug 29, rode from vegas to laughlin, hoover dam, short day about 250 miles.

aug 30, just cruised around town (vegas). went and cruised through red rock canyon. another 150 mile day.

aug 31, starting to get tired of the vegas food lol. we decided to go to LA for lunch (well santa monica). Went to the pier had lunch and turned around to enjoy the start of rush hour LA traffic. about a 600 mile day.

Sept. 1, very easy day. only about 50 miles just cruising around town getting some errands down before we hit the road home.

sept 2 hit the open road for the trip home. Only 2 of us (the onw with the ultra flew home). We left vegas at 7:30am cst. we pulled into steerling, co about 9:30pm cst. woke up and hit the frigid co temperature of 43 last friday and finished the trip.

WE shaved 5 hours from our trip on the way down on the way home. we did it in 36 hours. about 1670miles.

Gave me a deja vu reading your post! I left NEPA on July 24 of 2009 with 21627 on the odometer. Rolled into Joliet, IL 12 hours later with 42355 on the ticker.

Left there at 7:00 and got blown off the road in a storm (almost literally) just north of Denver that night at 43312. That's right...about 40 miles shy of the iron butt! I had planned on riding through Denver so I'd be on the west side and out of traffic the next morning but it was raining so hard the semis were only going 20 mph.

Did the rest of the trip back into Vegas the next day.
