how much does something like that cost ? to say ship my bike from USA to Spain, or anywhere for that matter ?
I'm not sure but I know it'll be expensive. From limited research, I'm guessing between $2K-3K by air and maybe between $700-$1,000 by sea. I haven't gotten a quote yet as my trip won't be for a few years.
I checked in to renting a bike on my last trip to England and it was around $350/day with the exchange rate. So, for a 10 day trip that would be $3,500 right there. That's why I've considered shipping mine over and staying longer to make it worthwhile.
Maybe renting other places in Europe would be cheaper and I will check into that.
I've also read that some guys ship their bikes over, ride them, then sell them there because they get top dollar.

Sorry to get off the original subject.
Just looked on internet and Road King 495POUNDS per week in London Jap bikes from 325 (again pounds)
About $750 per week Road King. Of course if you factor in insurance and breakdown cover that makes a difference.
Interesting, wonder if that includes VAT etc. I called a couple places up around Manchester last time and one place wouldn't rent to me becasue I didn't have UK motorcycle license. I think one place quoted me 190 GBP per day.
Also, the exchange rate was much higher then than what it is currently, I think it was around $1.75 or $1.80 if memory serves. So, at the time, using my feeble mind, I figuered it would have been close to $350 so told the guy thanks but no.
