Can't wait
Till my son can ride along side me instead of behind me. These are some pics taken yesterday during a charity run. He's got that biker attitude look already, don't ya think?

My son is my riding buddy too. We've done Deals and that area last year. I had a ball showing him where I use to ride Sport Tourers. We had hoped to do the Natchez Trace this year but haven't been able to yet.

I did the Natchez Trace the first week of August. It's nice for about 45 minutes. Then, just how many trees can you look at? Actually not all that enjoyable. If you do take the Trace ride. They're quite serious about the 50 mph speed limit. And if you get a ticket, it's a federal offense. The entire Trace is a National Park. Also very limited gas availability, and even more limited signs to let you know where gas is sold. I don't recommend that ride. Oh, and also, WATCH OUT FOR DEER!!!
Thanks Sporty.
If you had to recommend a section of the Trace is there a particular section thats best? As a former cotton grower I'd love to ride part of the delta at picking time; may have to work out a route to include both.

My two sons and I have ridden in the dirt for years. Once they got older, and silly influences like girls and jobs got in the way, they sold their dirt bikes. My youngest son is now in the USAF and has been saving for a bike. I'm trying to talk him into a Hog but at 20, he's a sport bike fan. He's started coming around to my way of thinking since he saw the insurance costs of most of the crotch rockets. I'll ride with him regardless of what he buys. Kind of a "cat's int he cradle" mindset...
